A BIG blessing in MD!

So Chris was blessed with an interview and a job (internship) offer (which he took) his first full day here in MD! Understandably, he, Emma, and I are all very relieved and grateful for that huge blessing!! However, Emma still maintains that she is the biggest blessing in her parent's lives to which her parents very much agree. ;)
I apologize that I never did do the blog thing while we were in Lithuania, but, I can totally do posts once in a while documenting that summer- last summer- our time in Lithuania. I imagine though that posts about Emma Jean will be far more numerous but I do want to go back and put photos with explanations on here of last summer so keep an eye out.

Welcome American Friends!

Lauren and I warmly welcome you to the Kaimas. Kaimas, obviously a Lithuanian word, has much meaning for both Lauren and myself. Kaimas literally means village, the countryside, but to us Kaimas means the unknown, the undisturbed, the real Lithuania. Alas, we won't be living in the Kaimas itself, rather the largest city in Lithuania, but we are committed to making the experience as Kaimas-ish as possible. We are both very well aware of what a great blessing and opportunity the next three months are and we plan to show our gratitude by living it up. We are beyond excited to be able to have quite a different experience from the one we had as missionaries. Due to the nature of missionary work we weren't able to truly experience the Kaimas. This summer we will make sure that we do! In all honesty what is even more exciting is seeing our friends and loved ones again. Skype is nice, but its so much better to actually be with them. Again, we will able to do things with our friends in Lithuania that just wasn't kosher back in the day. This as well will help constitute our Kaimas experience. I'm excited! I'm also excited for the airport food Lauren and I are going to eat now. Love you all, miss you all, and enjoy the Kaimas! We'll write again when we get to Lietuva.
